Key Factors To Consider While Registering Skincare Products

When registering skincare products, there are several key factors to consider to ensure regulatory compliance for cosmetics and product safety. These factors vary depending on the region or country, but here are the fundamental considerations:

Regulatory Compliance : Ensure your product meets the specific guidelines of the regulatory body in your region (e.g., FDA in the U.S., EU Cosmetics Regulation EC No. 1223/2009). We help classify your product correctly, whether as a cosmetic, drug, or medical device.

Ingredient Safety : Confirm that all ingredients are compliant with local regulations, including checking for restricted or banned substances.

Product Formulation : Conduct stability and safety testing to ensure your product’s integrity over time. ELT can help substantiate claims like "anti-aging" or "hypoallergenic" with required scientific evidence.

Labeling Requirements : Ensure that your product label includes all mandatory details, including ingredients, warnings, batch numbers, and contact information. Also, ensure compliance with regional language and font size regulations.

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): We help ensure that your products are manufactured in compliance with GMP standards and assist with the necessary documentation for quality control and production records.

Safety and Efficacy Data : Make sure that your product undergoes the required safety testing and, if applicable. Conduct clinical trials to support efficacy claims like “improves skin tone” or “reduces wrinkles.”

Packaging and Environmental Compliance : We ensure your product packaging meets safety and regulatory standards. Also, helps you navigate sustainability considerations, such as eco-friendly or cruelty-free claims.

Testing for Compliance : We ensure your product complies with animal testing regulations and assist with additional testing for hypoallergenic claims.

Post-Market Surveillance : After registration, we help monitor your product for adverse reactions, assist with safety updates, and develop a recall strategy if necessary.
